Children's Rights

Child abuse is also one of the most horrifying realities that we have to deal with nowadays. Everyday, hundreds of children are abused world-wide; it could be as simple as verbal abuse, but this could escalate into the worst possible abuse imaginable – that of sexual abuse. All over the world, there have been agencies that were instituted with the goal of protecting children from anything that would harm them. This would include malnutrition, abandonment, emotional and psychological torture, and even something as simple as an unstable domestic environment. Of course, not all of these issues can be properly addressed by these agencies, not all cases can be handled by the social and charity workers, and as far as we know, the potential danger that some children or minors have had to face did not come to light until just a few decades ago.

Strictly speaking, a child has the right to grow up and become his or her person. They have the right to a proper name, the right to have opportunities that will support them later in life, the right, most basically, to have an UNHINDERED CHILDHOOD. Forcing a child to grow up too fast – whether through aggressive abuse or through other methods – is an issue that needs to be dealt with.

Issues regarding the rights of children and the youth are to be discussed here.
