One of the “hot button” topics of all time, women's rights is one of the most complicated issues discussed world-wide because of the fact that there are so many different cultures within countries, communities, belief systems and families that one cannot exactly pinpoint where the biggest problems of women lie. Most of the problems of women are sex-based; they may be looked down on simply by the virtue of being women, or sexually abused because certain men are raised to believe that women are weak and are simply there for the personal satisfaction of the male half of the population.
There is also the question of where one has to draw the line when it comes to dealing with women: how many times have women been objectified in advertisements that are targeted towards men? How many women and young girls are made to believe that their worth depends on their husbands and the number of children they are capable of producing? That the measure of attractiveness is the amount of skin they are willing to bare? And on the flipside is this question: how far should a woman be pushed in the quest for equality? Do they, in fact, have to beat men at their own game?
Issues regarding the rights of women are to be discussed here.
